Hi Sal (and others)..

I just wanted to give you a update on the Leader LD-780R bike I purchased from you in early August this summer...

I took a bit longer than probably most of your customers to put it together, but mostly all went well. The slow build pace was mostly because I'm a naturally "slow" mover, and take a lot of time being critical about about every part of the construction process.

I finally finished the frame, and set-it ip as best I could late one Friday night, and the very next morning, I took it to Wichita Falls Texas, and used it to complete the 100 mile course of the Wichita Falls Hotter N' Hell 100. Luckily, it was a cool day, so in that respect, the ride did not live up to ot's name, but the bike performed great... I completed the ride tired, and with a high level of satisfaction, knowing that this ride was my personal "longest" ride ever, and I did it on a bike I assembled myself. The attached photo is one of me in that ride...

Since then, I've used the bike on every week-end ride, and have put about 1500+ miles on it. Mostly trouble free. I did have to re-install the twocrank arms, because they started creaking badly - I don't think I had them o tight enough in the first place - cleaning / tightening them up onto the BB completely stopped the noise. I also had one flat, after riding over a stone - I probably needed more air in my tires at the start of the ride (I learned my lesson with that one).

The second photo is one I find cute... some guy checking out the bike, as I pass by him...

So, overall, I'm more than happy with my purchase, and the bike. It performs well beyond my capabilities. It's quiet, and fun to ride. It will no doubt meet my needs for years to come.

I'm now considering purchasing an other one for my son.
